I am 46 years old and the team lead who interviewed me emphasized on at
least three occasions how YOUNG his team was and how he was looking to
build a YOUNG team. I don't think the interviewer got either that he
was engaged in an overt (and illegal) display of bigotry, or how
increasingly offended and hurt I was. After the third mention of his
YOUNG team I said, "Maybe it would balance your team if you hire an old
geezer like me."
