As an Internet Consulting company, the working conditions were very
flexible. Telecommuting was encouraged, since office space is at a
premium. Most work is conducted via email and telephone conference
calls with occassional travel (on the marketing side. Consultants on
engagements work mostly on client site, of course). Dress code is
business casual.
It was very disappointing to be part of a marketing organization where
neither the Chief Marketing Officer (who asked what PR stood for) and
the Brand Director had no previous background whatsoever in marketing.
Unfortunately, since Marketing was not embraced nor understood by the
company, it did not seem to matter. The company is not very diverse
with white males dominating the employment population.
