Company is very focused on setting goals and targets, but it seems that
there is a huge gap in the salary range between the
administrative/management analyst group and the consultant/managerial
levels even though all levels of staff work diligently, efficiently and
are all goal orientated. Overall work is very high quality, all levels
of staff are very knowledgeable in their fields. The only draw backs
are that all aspects of the business (i.e., approvals for projects,
salaries, promotions, etc.) seem to require approval from the US which
seems to delay work, create a bigger problem when trying to get
information and also somewhat affects morale due to frustrations with
the US-based departments. One other frustration would be the IT
department which is outsourced overseas into India. Very difficult to
get the correct information when trying to find solutions to technical
problems. From what has been said, it's easier to call another local
staff person or one of administrative people to help.. seems a lot
faster than trying to get the correct information from the IT
department. Overall, it's a great place to start or build a career
because the work is very diverse. Working for BearingPoint is pretty
satisfying. You become knowlegeable in various fields - you don't just
concentrate on one field especially if you work in the Public Services
sector. You get both positive and constructive feedback from all levels
of staff, get to work on your golf swing!
