Battelle is a large company and like most companies it recruits loads of
sale people who receive pressure from above on a daily basis to sell
services at any cost. In turn the scientists and technicians are brow
beaten to comply with safety standards while still meeting out the door
project schedules. It is not until scientists get very high up in
Battelle that they attain a true research position.
Due to military contracts Battelle is increasing the amount of X-
military managers who can secure the militarily contracts that are the
bread and butter. As a result the management style of Battelle is
mirroring the military more and more.
