They gave me a technical test on the basics. I scored very high on the
test and they offered me the job on the spot. Two years later they
transferred me to London on my request. When I was ready to go home,
they said they didn't have any available positions so I had to
repatriate myself. I have been out of work for two and a half weeks at
this point and I hope to be employed soon. I had been at Barra for a
total of 6 years which is a long time for anyone in my line of
Technical Support responsibility. I had learned anything new in a year
and was quickly becoming bored and miserable. Added to which I was
reporting to an English manager who I had helped hire and train and
didn't have a single accomplishment that could have matched my own.
