Bank of America is very focused on increasing the bottom dollar, most
often at the expense of its employees. As the third largest US bank,
its profits are in the billions, yet the people who make it happen are
not compensated accordingly. Morale is largely low. The culture is
diverse, and opportunities for advancement are fairly plentiful, due to
a large turnover in associates. It is very strongly recommended that
no one on an hourly salary work more than 40 hrs a week, yet, it is
impossible to fulfill all assistant management duties in that amount of
time. The bank says it wants to create a fair balance between work and
off-time, which is difficult if you have to commute. Dress code is
business professional.
