Bank One is now attempting to reverse what it did 3 years ago: 3 years
ago it pulled all PMs out of the front office and refused to allow
clients to talk with the manager. The bank doubled the number of
accounts per PM and cut staff only to find that clients did not like
the new model. The response, very typical of Bank One, was "we will
tell you what you like" and for 3 years lost significant assets. After
doing a lot of reconstructing, the company decided to turn face and go
back to the previous model. Not a huge suprise, but still a bit late.
Morale at the Bank is very low due to the constant restructuring of
departments. Not just my area, but IT guys, Traders, Funds, all of
which create a company with individuals wanting to leave as soon as the
economy picks up in their field. If you want to work at Bank One, you
should focus on applying the principle of change: you are willing to
accept change.
I would strongly recommend not working their unless you desire to be
punished OR you are interested in the educational benefits.
