I work in sales at Balboa Capital Corporation, an equipment leasing and
finance company. A typical day starts around 6:30 in the morning and
ends around 6:00. It is a national sales position done mostly on the
phone. I cold call most of the day... usually around 150 calls a day.
Dress code is fairly lax. Slacks and a button down shirt its typical.
Fridays are casual. It
is an
easy going environment because you are pretty much running your own
business. But, there is not much opportunity for advancement. The top
management likes to keep you where they are at because they are making
all of the money. The only job promotion you can hope for is a sales
manager, but they wouldn't happen for at least two years.
