There are no such thing as door to door sales anymore, most women don't want the Avon label, they want the Dept. store (Clinque, Este Lauder, etc). You need a large customer base to be sucessful and that could take years, especially if you are selling Avon as a side line to your full time job. The cost of supplies to the rep is ridiculous when compared to the actual commission that they make. I felt that Avon makes out better from the charges of supplies to the reps than they do with the actual sales of the products. I would never do this again if my life depended on it. I would try Tupperware or Mary Kay first.
