| Major Account District Manager |
My first contact was a phone interview with an internal recruiter. She
interviewed me and set me up for an online questionnaire. Based on the
questionnaire results, she called me up and set up a phone interview
with my immediate boss, the Major Account Sales Manager. She later
called and cancelled the phone interview, saying that the MASM had
decided the "fit" was sufficient to interview me in person instead.
I interviewed with the MASM and subsequently was invited down for an
interview with a second MASM and their boss, the Area V.P. of Sales. At
this point, I was scheduled to return and give a mock presentation (on
ADP and its value statement - a presentation I had to create myself) and
ride-along with an experienced rep. This would normall be the point
where I would be hired, but I was also invited to interview with the
Division V.P. of Sales, who was interested in my background and
requested the interview.
Each of the interviews focussed on my past sales experience and my
desire to work for ADP. I was also asked many times if I was
comfortable with telephone prospecting, which is an important part of
this job. I also had to reassure them that I would be happy and thrive
in a high accountability environment where my performance would be
measured weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
