If you are considering applying for employment with ADP, get ready to
interview with at least four different people, possibly fly to the
regional office for an interview, under go an extensive background
check, which will take anywhere from 2 weeks to well over a month.
After completing the exhaustive interview process, prepare to spend
anywhere from 8 - 12 weeks training in Chicago. Afterwards, you will be
assigned to a field office and take assignment anywhere within the
region.
You can normally expect to be away from home at least 4 days per week,
with weekends off. (Normally)
ADP does provide a company car to Account Executives, but you will be
expected to pay for your gas, lodging, meals and other expenses
associated with working away from home. ADP will reimburse you for
these expenses, which will be credited to your credit card. It
normally takes 3 - 4 days.
If you have ANYTHING in your background, including traffic tickets, a
misdemeanor or felony conviction, bad or questionable credit, previous
employment issues, etc..., do not bother applying to ADP. They will
have you complete all of the interviews and will only check your
background, drug screen, etc..., after you have a month or so invested
in your application process.
It sounds backwards, and it is. ADP should check your references,
credit, driving record and criminal history BEFORE you are able to
continue with the interview process. Unfortunately, many people have
made it all the way through the processing, only to be told that they
are ineligible for hire, due to tickets, a minor offense, or past
credit problems.
