ADP is a fantastic place to work if one is a white male and works to
become a member of the "good old boy" network.
ADP was a good place to work as long as one is willing to accept
the "good old boy" culture.
ADP is a lousy place to work if one is a minority and not willing to
accept the "good old boy" culture.
ADP is an impossible place to work if one questions the "good old boy"
culture by asking for equal pay, responsibilities and career growth.
In this case, ADP is an impossible place to work because ADP will
support and perpetuate every effort to eliminate any employee that
questions their fundamental commitment to the "good old boy" culture.
ADP mandates explicit diversity training for all employees. However,
the culture remains segragated by sex and race. The executive levels
of management are dominated by white males across all ADP divisions.
ADP retaliates against employees that complain about unfair treatment.
ADP publishes a complaint procedure on their web site. However, the
culture discourages using the procedure. Once an associate makes a
complaint, it is highly probable the person will be demoted, either
explicity or effectually, demoralized, and eventually dismissed from
the company.
ADP demands long hours for little reward. Success criteria depends
first on one's sex and race; then on one's perceived commitment to the
company by foresaking all life outside of ADP, and third by one's
acceptance of the "good old boy" culture. There is little
consideration placed on one's skills and accomplishments for career
growth.
ADP has potential to be a great employer. Unfortunately, that
opportunity is only offered to a select group of individuals.
