It's pretty sad when you're working for a billion dollar company, that's
considered one of the better jobs in my community and still i'm working
paycheck to paycheck. A company that thrives on teamwork as one of it's
moto and yet when you question the lack of financial compensation, or
even the change in benefits every year which leads you to take a pay
cut, you're given the good old response.. "if you don't like it leave!"
To me that represents what Autozone is about, a group of wealthy people
that just keep getting wealthier where as me.. the everyday man, working
to put food on the table and I have to take it because jobs are scarce.
I'm not a lazy man, I put in several hours overtime in every week. I
don't believe in getting something for nothing. I work for my check,
but when the end of the week comes and I see I'm not the only one at
this D.C. barely getting by I have to question what's going on? A
billion dollar company shouldnt have to cut corners when it comes to
their employees, switch insurance plans to get the corporate break, due
away with employee insentives then as a reward to employees, give out
flashlights and other returned items as a notion for doing well,.. come
on give me a break! I know how about this incentive, go ahead and give
me a raise that will make a difference, and not change the insurance
plan so that i am bringing home more than last year.
