The salary package was disgraceful. The salary was advertised at mid-
20's, but the starting salary actually turned out to be $19,500. I was
told that this would be because I was udner a 6 month probationary
period (which I thought was wierd, because most periods are 90 days). At
the end of my first 6 months, since my supervisor had left at month 2 of
my employment, I was told I would have to wait another 6 months while I
worked under someone new who would then evaluate me. At the end of year
one I was offered $23,000, but then found out I would actually get only
$20,000. The other $3,000 was going to be withheld as a 'bonus' payment,
for which I would be evaluated. It was made clear that I could end up
getting much less than the $3,000, but that they did count it as part of
the overall salary package. As for benefits, they offered no retirement
plan, no dental, only 10 days vacation a year that went up to 15 days a
year if you stayed five years. Sick days were only 5 a year. No holidays
except Thanksgiving. I was given an archaic computer in the middle of
the office. When I asked for an office, I was told I could have the
inside closet (no windows) if I cleaned it out myself (which I did).
