My interview consisted of me interviewing with the plant manager and
the electrician. We discussed basic calibration techniques, how the
plant operated, what my job would be, and what my future goals were.
I also took a tour of the facility and saw the type of equipment that I
would be working on. I also found out about their benefits package
which, included college reembursement, which is no longer in place.
There were no surprises, as I had been around power plants alot in the
past. The group of guys seemed very nice, and since it was a small
group, it was easy to get to know everyone relatively quickly.
My comnpany now requires that all potential employees pass a pre-test
before getting an interview. Less than half of all test participants
have passed the test.
