Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the normal hiring process. I was
recruited by the company so that the internal procedures were already
completed before I was approached. In general, at the professional
level, my department operated primarily in that fashion. Our segment of
the industry is small and most of the senior people are known to each
other. At most, there were two interviews, both conducted by the
department manager.
In general, the company operates on the corporate system: there is a
preliminary interview with Human Resources, followed by an interview
with the department head, possibly a second interview with the
department head if the field of candidates was large and has been
reduced to two or three and an interview with the immediate supervisor.
Some of these may be combined into one day but mostly they require that
the candidate return several times
