I was being paid $100,000 per year. There was no signing bonus. This
was a
privately held company so there was no stock and therefore no stock
options.
There was supposed to be a profit-sharing bonus plan. The day before
they told
me they were letting me go they told me we all got a bonus. I checked my
account
and I had received $86.57. That was the equivalent of .26% of my base
pay
prorated for having been with the company only 1/3 or that year -
ridiculous. I
was told to gather the "troops", i.e. the fourteen people under my
charge and
tell them how generous the owner was. Can you believe that? They did
reimburse
expenses, mainly my cell phone, but so far they have withheld my last
claim.
Vacation time was 9.54 hours per accounting period (4 wks). This they
gave me
right away even though they usually reserved that for those who had been
with
the
company for 5+ years. Otherwise the accrual rate was usually 6.46 hours
per 4
wks.
