The hiring process at AMS is very well defined. First contact generally
consists of a phone/informational interview. Assuming this goes well,
candidates will generally be asked to a variety of interviews over a
couple of days. The first of which is a casual dinner/meal with a few
AMSers during which interested candidates can ask informal questions
prior to going into the round of interviews. The round of interviews
will genuinely take up a half day. The candidate will go through a
Analytical, Technical, and Business Interview for obvious reasons.
During these interviews, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in
each of these areas. Afterwords, the AMSers meet and make the decision
on whether or not to extend an offer.
