I have been employed with my company for almost seven years. Currently
the corporate culture is going through many changes such as evaluating
how to keep clients, how to gain new clients, how to retain employees,
etc. The Norfolk office is very diverse. We employ several minorities,
but only a few minorities are in upper-level management positions. The
work hours vary depending on whether you work in the home office or on a
client site. I work on a client site so my hours are 9 am - 5pm
(regular work hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm). The work hours are very
flexible. Dress code is dependent upon where you work. If you work in
the home office, then Monday - Thursday the dress code is business wear
and on Fridays business casual. Since I work at a client site, our
dress code is business casual Monday - Friday. About 2 years ago, the
opportunities for advancement were unlimited. Due to the slump in this
industries, the opportunites for advancement have dried up. My guess is
as we gain new clients the opportunity for advancement will increase
(only for the Norfolk office)
