Job Title Salary Survey
Pension Consultant There is no "package." You receive a salary only (unless you make in excess of approximately $80,000 when you become bonus eligible as a member of management). All employees, if the company meets 4 sales goals, receives a $150 per goal bonus. Continuing education, for those of us with certifications which require extensive CE credits, is almost non-existent. There is virtual learning available on various insurance or management related courses. The benefits package is OK, but nothing special. However, the dental benefit package is no longer affordable for many employees. There is a mediocre defined benefit plan in place, as well as a good 401(k) program, matching in excess of 100% of deferrals up to 6% of compensation. The Employee Stock Purchase program is a sham. While employee discounts are supposedly available for auto insurance, AIG is so high in Texas that no one uses AIG. Annual raises have averaged less than 3.5% for at least 6 years.
