Job Title Workplace Survey
Project Manager I felt that the career development I had at the company was the best I had seen in any corporate environment. With ongoing training programs, use of personality styles and personal development exploration, the company is a leader in career growth. This is a 152 year old company with a strong ethic and high integrity. My feeling is that it is going to be strong for at least another 150 years. There is a strong since of the need for diversity, however, some in the company feel that since it is a review measurement, it is forced upon the employees rather than sold to them as a positive. The hours are long for salaried employees and it is frowned upon to leave early often. I and my peers were often there late into the night. Dress code is incredibly casual in call center areas, almost to the extreme. However, other facilities maintain a sense of professionalism. The opportunities for advancement are great to a point. Getting to a VP level or better is tough inside of the company. Many dynamic driven individuals feel the need to leave and come back to gain this level of promotion.
