| Energy Marketing Executive |
When I began employment, and during the year 2002, I would have said
that this was a fantastic place to work. My group was part of Ameren
Energy Fuels and Services. Makes sense, my group sells/supplies natural
gas in a deregulated market.
However, due to a corporate reorganization, my group was reassigned to
Ameren Energy Marketing. AEM is focused only on the 'home run' deals
which are primarily in the electric market. AEM battled internally to
get control of my group but really does not care to be in gas
marketing. Since the beginning of 2003, 1 person has left the company
and 2 have successfully transferred to other parts of the company. I
believe Ameren is a good company to work for. However, I caution anyone
considering the opportunity to work for AEM to step back and reevaluate.
