Align offers a good blend between a small and large company - a decent
budget to work with, relatively quick decision making power, and the
ability for employees to manage lots of projects that they might not
otherwise see at a P&G as an asst/assoc/brand mgr. It's a double-edged
sword, however: our size has grown, however, and with it the
bureacracy - that's where we are at right now. Still not big enough to
have formal processes, but semblances of one that actually slow things
down. The size, however, let's you take on whatever you can chew. All
in all, however, we have the coolest product on the face of the earth
and that is what makes marketing it and making it so challenging. There
is never a dull day here and that is why many of us stay here. The new
management team is good and have instituted a lot of positive changes -
sometimes it feels like we are heading down the GE path. To say nothing
of the fact that the stock price is up!
