It is a not-for-profit Healthcare system Corporate office. It is
affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. It is a very caring
and compassion motivated office. Opportunities for internal advancement
are widely available in almost all of the many business aspects. Hours
are flexible depending on position. Some work 4 tens, many have
alternate work schedules. Generally speaking, you are supposed to be in
the office between 9 a. m. and 4 p. m. if you are working on a specific
day. Working from home is discouraged and only a few directors work
regularly from home. Certain IT employees are on call, or staff 24 hour
call/data support centers for the hospitals. The office will provide
state of the art IT equipment for employees and are a Healthcare
Industry leader in devloping all digital record retention and
information sharability across the enterprise. The current dress code
is business casual. Directors and above are supposed to where Business
Professional attire when meeting with outside vendors/clients. Business
Casual for men requires non denim pants and collared shirts. Women may
wear opened toed shoes/sandals, nylons are not required. Sleeveless
shirts are officially not allowed but the policy is not enforced.
Excessive jewelry is discouraged. Earings,wedding bands/rings, women
wearing small necklaces are not uncommon. Large proportion of staff are
Seventh-Day-Adventist. There are a variety of conservative and liberal
points of view thrown in there so there is not a fair generalization to
make about jewelry, diet or other ideas that people may have heard about
Adventists. Office is almost all non-smokers. There are a few and they
are not hassled, they just have to go outside and comply with CA state
law about where they can stand outside a building to smoke etc. Office
is largely Caucasion in ethnicity, next greatest would be Latino, then
Asian then African-American. Top executive positions are all held by
men except one. The Vice President and Director level is more evenly
mixed between men and women. Compensation is evaluated anually to
ensure that it is competitive. Cost of living adjustments for
nonexecutive positions are done in July for positions that are not up to
industry standard levels. Employees have 401 3(B) retirement plan with
up to 6% contribution and %50 percent employer match in addition to
employer standard contribution if 1000 hours worked in calendar year.
Employee becomes 100% vested after 5 years of service. No incremental
vesting. Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription plans are Self-Insured
and administered. Health Benefits are PPO and Prescriptions are on the
ExpressScripts network. PPO reimbursed at 80% and non PPO 60% unless
emergency care related. $250 annuual deductible, reduced to $125 if
employee participates in wellness program requireing health screening
blood tests every 2 years. Dental and Vision are set dollar amounts and
employee can choose any provider. 529, TK7(B), 527 and other Tax
Sheltered annuity plans are also available. Life insurance of $10,000
is provide to all employees. Discounted HomeOwner, Auto and Life
Insurance are available for all employees. Company has corporate
discounts for ATT wireless and Dell computers. McCaffe virus protection
licenses apply for all employees home computers as well has work.
Interest free computer loans up to $3000 are available to all employees
to encourage skill advancement. Relocation assistance as well as
Education assistance is available to employees at a director's
descrecition. Hospitals are operated in California, Hawaii, Washington
and Oregon. Advancement opportunites from the corporate office in
Roseville, CA to these locations are not unocommon. Certain positions
require frequent travel to these locations. Paid leave accrues for 6.1
hours per pay period with less than 5-years experience and 8.1 for over
5 years but less than 9, and over 9 years accure at 10.1
