I went through three telephone interviews and one series of face-to-
face
interviews.
The initial telephone interview was from an HR representative and
focused on general skills questions, additional information on
background and experiences and education. The second interview was
focused on my speciality and asked for specific examples. Based on the
results of my second interview, the interviewer referred me to one of
his counter-parts for a specific potential vacancy that she had. The
third telephone interview was by my current boss and again rehashed my
second interview, providing details of issues and how I had worked
through them; discussing complexities and contradictions that had to be
overcome and the like.
The next was a day of interviews in one of Accenture's offices. This
interview consisted of a "Behavioral analysis using a series of
questions intended to see how I evaluated and reacted to specific
situations as well as to how well I addressed their questions. The
second was by a soon-to-be associate of mine discussing his
experiences. The third and final was by the unit leader and was really
more of a lecture about how he had started and moved up. I was called
the next evening and asked if I could start work immediately, even
pressuring me to only give a two weeks notice (I had intended to
provide
a four week notice; in the end, I gave a three week notice).
