Morale has been low the past few years because of the drastic shift
Accenture has taken since going public. Raises are no longer through
the roof, company-sponsored social hours are gone, and there are fewer
projects available. This has been a rude awakening for most of the
employees who have been with the firm 3 years or more. The advantage
for a new person coming in today is that you won't have to realign your
expectations with reality.
Good work is still recognized within the company, and strong performers
are still rewarded (just not as highly as they were several years ago).
If you can handle a traveling lifestyle Accenture is still a great
option for someone wanting to work with bright people, get diverse work
experiences, and see the country.
