Alltel is a family company, although corporate by nature and the demand
of business needs. All employees that I have ever come into contact
with have been more than willing to help in any situation and are more
than understanding when unpredictable circumtances present themselves.
Whether it be an area manager, group supervisor, or a customer service
representative such as myself, all on are equal playing fields. Some of
the comments listed previously on this site I find apalling, although I
probably know the people who listed them. Many of the employees,
atleast on my level, often times use ALLTEL because the company is so
forgiving and compassionate to its employees. ALLTEL's attendance
policy, vacation package, salary, and managerial processes are more
than generous, but still the few bad apples always seem to be the only
ones who have anything to say about the company. My father and my
mother both work for ALLTEL and the company has been great for them on
both their levels of employment. It has provided advancement
opportunites for both of them and for myself also. Honestly, the only
thing that I can say for the person who wrote the previous statements
is that they either do not deal well with change or with not having the
rules bent to cover their own mistakes. Both of which you cannot expect
out of any company that you are ever employed under, whether on the
corporate or local level. I apologize if these statments seem angry, but I do
tire of no one having anything to say unless
something does not go the way that makes it easiest for them, without
the thought to the others around them or the business as a whole.
