Corporate culture is mostly hands off, managerial duties left to on site
managers, pretty much self driven. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and
6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. on production days, however these can vary with
the market. This is a warehouse, so dress code within is levis or work
pants and no tank tops or spaghetti strap tops, shoes must be closed
toed. Opportunities for advancement on the production floor consist of
assuming more responsibility for production process, and although I am
one of the office workers, I have heard some good things from those who
have moved from machine feeding and strapping positions to crew leader
positions. There are also incentive programs, and fringe bennies like
safety bingo (when there are no accidents), certificates of
appreciation, ADVO dollars which can be used to buy items, gift
certificates for WalMart, King Soopers and Safeway-although these do not
run all the time, the frequency has increased over the past year.
Within the Sales and Customer Service departments, dress is business
casual. I am not that familiar with their exact structure as far as
advancement and compensation, however we have people who have been here
for a while, and also a lot of sales who transfer between branches.
