AAR Composites is a manufaturer of aircraft structural components
through FAA-PMA approvals and military contracts. They also are an "up-
and-commer" in the rail car manufacturing world (Disney Tram & Las Vegas
Monorail Carbody). They also are an FAA Approved Repair Station of
aircraft sheetmetal & composite components on Boeing, Douglas, Airbus,
and military use aircraft. They are an "old" company that has only been
owned by AAR Corp for about 4 years. There is a core group of
individuals from each department that are very tightly knit and many
have been around since the business was first opened. They are very
passionate about what they do. Management is changing constantly (as
with most corporate entities), but recent changes seem to be ones that
will stick for awhile. The company is attempting to create a balance of
long-term vs. immediate contracts for the manufacturing side of the
house. The repair business is steadily growing very quickly. I could
easily see a need for building expansion, or a acquisition of another
building to accomidate growth.
