West Monroe Partners
Want to Review a Different Internship?
4.6 of 5 stars
| VERIFIED INTERN
Ability to make what you wanted out of it but a good offering of organized events that provided opportunity to network and bond with other interns and other employees.
Lack of exposure to other solution lines throughout the firm. A crash course in everything would have been a nice add to the training.
This internship offers a very real portrayal of what work as a full-time consultant will be. You have to take ownership in order to advance at this company otherwise you'll get left behind. It is definitely fast paced and you can gain a lot of exposure into a variety of industries and solution areas.
The initial training for full-time hires could be improved to give a better understanding of the entire organization.

Getting to work at the client site. Meeting new people. Growing my network.
We worked 16-18 hours some days.
West Monroe Partners is a great place to work and if you are offered a internship, take it.
It is a great place to work. Cant think of anything,

Small firm with a really cool group of people
It's consulting so not always the most fun work.
Be outgoing and not afraid to talk to the people there
3.9 of 5 stars
Career development, company culture, well rounded and friendly employees
Firm was little small so had limited resources. Limited mobility in workgroups.
The firms is very employee and culture center. Work hard play hard mentality is a must. Pay is slightly lower than average.

the people I met were friendly and worked well along side everyone
the work was not as fast -paced as i was expecting - felt like they over-hired on the intern end
know what exactly you will be doing
ensure that interns are pushed to think, not just do
-The People at WMP-Interactions with HR-Intern Project-Type of Work
-Truly evaluate the size of a company you want since that drastically affects the types of culture and type of roles you'll be in for the beginning of your career as well as your internship-Network all that you can to really see the type of people at WMP you could be working with
-More training opportunities on Friday would have been great-An extra day or two of training (Consulting 101) would have been very helpful-From what I learned, the compensation may need to increase

Direct client contactFull resposabilities as a consultant
A lot more activities could have been organized to get to know the other interns.
A great firm where you will be challenged on day one and where you will learn a lot and grow in your career.
exposure, a good combination of learning and doing, making a difference, intern events.
nothing that i cant think of
give off the work hard play hard attitude
Being able to travel to clients. Very autonomous work with no micromanagement. Awesome social scene.
Really, not much. It was a great summer
If you like having fun with the people you work with then this is the place
4.9 of 5 stars
I felt valuable both with the work I did and in the social aspect of the company.
I shadowed a consultant longer than I wanted.
The main product WMP produces is its people and it shows. These are smart people who are willing to share their knowledge and maybe more importantly they are people who are enjoyable to work with day in and day out.
