3.1 of 5 stars

New York, NY | 2013 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

The people were all very welcoming and open to talking about their background and experiences.

Downers

It seems a lot of people are selected through connections. Also I heard there was high turnover rate. At times work can be a bit bureacratic.

Advice to Potential Interns

The people are definitely very friendly, collaborative, and open. The culture is definitely not as competitive as some other firms: people seem more to thrive on living peacefully than ambitions.

Advice to Management

No living stipend for students that live in the tri-state area or go to school in a tri-state area, failing to keep notice that everyone pays extra for summer housing anyways. Really makes it unfair for students that dont receive any living stipends who have to pay out of pocket to rent in NYC for this internship.

Great internship experience in an industry I didn't want to remain in

2.8 of 5 stars

Atlanta, GA | 2012 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

- heavy interaction with supervisors/partners
- exposure to numerous clients and industries over summer
- opportunity to work directly with client execs
- good pay

Downers

- work was very repetitive
- very hierarchical organization
- too much downtime in between work/projects
- work not challenging

Advice to Potential Interns

Great company that is best in industry for a reason. That said, be sure you want to stay in human capital consulting or go into HR management someday. Once you're in the industry, it is very hard to get out or change fields.
