Best place to start a career in finance

5.0 of 5 stars

New York, NY | 2015 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

Social events, training, work balance, career development opportunities and guidance and compensation

Downers

There were a very small number of senior bankers who were engaged but did not exhibit the same positive behavioral traits as the others. The small size does not push the company to a very meaningful spot in league tables however could also prove that using one metric to view banks may be highly subjective.

Advice to Potential Interns

A great place to learn about investment banking, finance and accounting through training and high profile deals as well as engage with very helpful senior banks early on in your career

Advice to Management

Diversity could be further improved

Advice to Potential Interns

Perella Weinberg, although labeled as a boutique investment bank, is clearly on the rise and has continued to gain excellent business and maintain a prestigious reputation. If you enjoy taking on larger than usual levels of responsibility as quickly as possible in order to maximize your learning experience, Perella Weinberg Partners serves as an excellent place to work. Management takes great care to take care of its employees, especially its interns whether that be company sponsored events or hour limitation programs.

Advice to Management

The only item I would love to see developed further at Perella Weinberg is the internal training program for interns. The learning on the job is excellent, but the back-end support could be stronger.
