4.6 of 5 stars

San Francisco, CA | 2014 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

The best aspects of the internship was the care and thought that went into the planning for a productive and engaging summer.

Downers

Nothing really. We had to a do a project that turned out to be a bit stressful, but in the end even that was a good experience "pressure" way to end our time.

Advice to Potential Interns

I would recommend asking questions about what skills would be beneficial to learn prior to becoming full time (e.g., Excel, review of assertations, etc).

The best aspects of the internship was the people building relationships with everyone.

Flexibility, challenging work, on the job experience, and patience while learning.

Downers

Didn't get a chance to meet everyone since the nature of auditing forces people out of the office.

Advice to Potential Interns

Work alongside managers and senior managers. A lot of exposure to partners. Fun atmosphere. Open atmosphere in terms of being able to get help when needed.

Downers

Every now and then, we ran out of billable work (which wasn't too bad, because there was other stuff to do).

Advice to Potential Interns

Go the extra mile to learn and grow. Make your internship/job the best that it can be by volunteering for work and doing anything and everything you can.

Sample Interview Questions

Why are you interested in Moss Adams?

Advice to Management

Attempting to introduce more staff/seniors to the interns initially. We do a great job of meeting our buddy and career advisor, but there were numerous staff who walked by intern desks and didn't introduce themselves initially. Maybe a social type activity the first day to meet more people and that is solved!

Learn about auditing by actually working on audits in the field

4.7 of 5 stars

Spokane, WA | 2014 | VERIFIED INTERN

Uppers

Working on-site at the client was not only interesting but also shed light on what being an auditor is really like.

Downers

Because the summer is generally a bit slower time in public accounting, sometimes I had to ask around for work. In the long run however, this forced me to meet more people in the office which was very beneficial.

Advice to Potential Interns
