Uppers

All members of the firm, at every level, seem to care about its success and culture, and feel a part of it.

There are not any. We have our minor frictions, but no raw spots.

Comments

Economics consulting can be very rigorous and presents opportunities to use academic training to an extent you may not have appreciated from just your college training.

Cambridge, MA | 2014 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Great culture and colleagues

Downers

N/A for consulting (schedule is occasionally challenging, but that goes with the territory)

Comments

If you are quantitatively minded, and want great opportunities, you will find them at Brattle. We aim to give people all the responsibility that they can handle, plus a little more. This creates opportunities for growth. Giving someone a lot more than they can handle can be overwhelming (and risks client dissatisfaction, which is disaster). But too little responsibility causes stagnation.

San Francisco, CA | 2014 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

great colleagues at all levels

Downers

long hours

Comments

Brattle includes leading academics as partners in the firm, which raises the bar. The firm is eager to expand by internal growth rather than by acquisition.

Entry-level in Energy & Utilities

4.9 of 5 stars

Washington, DC | 2014 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Completing challenging and rewarding work with brilliant coworkers

Downers

Progression from the entry-level RA position is very difficult without a higher-level degree. It is possible, but very unlikely. While people are not forced to leave, RAs tend to only stay for about 3 years before moving on to other great opportunities.

Downers

Unrelenting pressure to find and complete work.

Comments

Challenging work, collegial work environment, excellent training and learning opportunities, great locations, good compensation.
