Entry-level in Government/Public Sector

4.6 of 5 stars

Washington, DC | 2014 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Incredible people, top notch work, an exciting environment

Downers

High utilization of resources, still figuring out policies and processes as a young company

Comments

Censeo is truly a very special place to work, full of amazing people that really enjoy their work.

Midlevel in Strategy

4.7 of 5 stars

Washington, DC | 2014 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Culture, quality of life, great mix of interesting work (especially for those interested in the public/private sector interface) and low travel

Downers

More narrow focus than many of the big-name consutling firms

Comments

While name recognition and project variety is clearly not as great as at the big-name consulting firms, this is the perfect place for those with an interest in making a difference for the greater society, and for doing interesting consulting work with a reasonable work/life balance. It's also a small consulting firm with great growth prospects, which is a refreshing change from a typical large corporate setting.

4.3 of 5 stars

Washington, DC | 2014 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

The culture and the commitment to caring about individuals

Downers

The range of projects may be more limited than larger firms

Comments

If you are joining a consulting firm with an exit strategy already in mind, the Censeo is probably not the best fit for you. However, if you are looking to build meaningful relationship, improve yourself, and work on projects where you feel like you are positively impacting society, then I can't think of a better plan than Censeo.

Uppers

The people

Downers

The stress

Comments

Censeo values its employees highly and expects its employees to value the firm and its commitments highly as well. You can gain valuable experience here, but it should not be viewed as a short-term stepping stone position (where you get in, advance and get out quick). Those are not the type of people the firm is looking for and hopes that the values and benefits it provides clearly show that.

Comments
