The type of work you will be doing at your job is incredibly important to how much you will enjoy it, so find out as much as possible about what type of work is typical in specific lines of business you might be interested in. If you think you would particularly enjoy the technical aspects of consulting (as opposed to communication-oriented skill sets, though those are also important) then economic consulting is likely a very good fit.
