Bad Ass Investment Resources Department (huh?)

The No **** policy. Baird is open about the fact that **** aren't allowed and it sets a great tone for good people to work hard and play hard

Downers

Needs to continue to improve on quality of life for anlaysts, but this is an industry-wide problem and is not Baird specific.

Comments

From having a lot of other friends in the industry, Baird has a great work-life balance all things considered. The No Saturday policy is actually enforced and is not just a veneer like other firms.

Exit opportunities are great. Analysts who come in with PE as a goal almost without fail find a quality exit opportunity.

It's a no **** kind of place. There are still people way too into themselves, but there is a collective, unconscious agreement at Baird to leave the attitudes at home and get things done

Downers

Brutal hours in the industrial group - all the way up the chain.

Comments

Be ready to work very hard and, as a result, be given a lot of responsibility at the junior levels (in comparison to peers at other firms). Baird has been crushing it in the middle market and that business success, while great for the Company, puts a lot of pressure on junior resources.
