Uppers

work life balance, easy commute

Baird's Investment Banking Culture; If It Sounds Too Good To Be True, It Probably Is

3.6 of 5 stars

Entry-level in Mergers & Acquisitions | Chicago, IL | 2016 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

A lot of responsibility, even as an analyst, because the deal teams are really lean.

Downers

I think Baird's "no ****" culture is a farse, which is too bad because that's a large part of why junior people choose to join.

Fast-paced environment with a good culture, but a lot of work

Downers

If you're looking to get a ton of responsibility and learn a lot, alongside good people, this is the right place.

The No **** policy. Baird is open about the fact that **** aren't allowed and it sets a great tone for good people to work hard and play hard

Downers

Needs to continue to improve on quality of life for anlaysts, but this is an industry-wide problem and is not Baird specific.

Comments

From having a lot of other friends in the industry, Baird has a great work-life balance all things considered. The No Saturday policy is actually enforced and is not just a veneer like other firms.

Exit opportunities are great. Analysts who come in with PE as a goal almost without fail find a quality exit opportunity.
