Uppers

The culture and compensation stand out as the reasons to work here along with ability to be a part of a firm in growth mode.

Downers

Vacation policy is just catching up to the rest of the world

After nearly 20 years, wouldn't trade the career and personal experience for anything other of which I am aware.

For an aspiring IB analyst - anticipating the experience as an outstanding springboard to other financial services opportunities / career paths - can find a better entry level position.

Culture, compensation, hours

Downers

Lack of brand name recognition, vacation policy, weakening of generalist program (more specialization this year than ever before among analysts / associates)

Comments

PJSC provides top notch experience, with very transparent MDs who are open to having analysts drop by on a whim. MDs form very strong relationships with analysts and make them feel like they are an integral part of deal processes (which they are). Analysts all seem to get along with one another and are always willing to help each other out when there is a workload imbalance. It is hard to believe that any other firm provides analysts with as much freedom to operate and client interaction as PJSC.
