PJSC offers the chance for one's hard work and intelligence to show and pay off in a way impossible within a sluggish bulge infrastructure

4.9 of 5 stars

I love the amount of responsibility I am given over projects, which has increased my confidence in exit opportunities and day-to-day work life. Additionally, having the chance to work among other top graduates who I actually consider friends in and out of the office was not an expected plus.

Downers

From a pure name familiarity factor, I used to work at a bulge bracket bank of far less quality than PJSC, yet the name was much more familiar in public. While PJSC is very well known and respected among its client base and other banks, I personally feel it does not carry the universal name it deserves.

First boutique on Wall Street where MDs really do care about clients.

One of the strongest cultures on the street, hands-down the best work-life balance on the street, and the opportunity to work with some many prestigous retail clients.

Culture is number 1. Compensation is number 2.

Downers

Since it is smaller than some boutiques the workflow can be more choppy. Sometimes you will be overwhelmed with work and other times you may be bored.

Comments

If you are interested in retail, media and restructuring I'm not sure that you could find a better place to begin your career.

Great place to start and build a career with its relatively flat structure and opportunity to work directly with senior management

Amazing culture, interesting projects with great exposure to clients and senior management who are interested in investing in analysts

Downers

Not as much diversity across products (mainly M&A)
