Executive in Mergers & Acquisitions

2.3 of 5 stars

New York, NY | 2017 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Work life balance

Downers

Culture is worsening. Uncertain outlook

Very slow progress to improve and grow, but painful experiencing the growing pains. Not enough career opportunities among industry groups.

2.4 of 5 stars

Mid-level in Corporate Finance | New York, NY | 2017 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

competitive salary, formal training

Downers

the hours, the lack of diversity (female, LGBT, ethnic/racial), the callous attitude of senior leadership towards junior work life balance, limited career growth opportunities

Comments

The firm really needs to hire more senior and junior people - senior people to drive more deal activity, junior people to do more of the grunt work. Its "10 principles" feel false when there isn't transparency, a respect for people's personal lives and lack of diversity (except among the executive assistants). might be a good opportunity for analysts, but for associates and directors - think hard, maybe stay away.

Had high hopes, but was ultimately disappointed. The reality doesn't live up to the promise.

Downers

Firm is in a weird in-between. The wonderful culture that used to exist seems to be dying.

Comments

Very little emphasis on support in development unless you meet the right people on day one. Need to be lucky.
