Excellent core group. Really good people. Well intentioned. Early experience and lots of room to grow.

Lack of direction and firm goals. Condescending management. Inability to make decisions. Lack of meritocracy. Inability to identify success factors and encourage them.

Compensation, personal network (partners take care of junior employees - either pay them or place them in PE / HF)

Hours / large responsibility given to analysts - high exposure is stressful


Comments

Most candidates that get a PWP offer have competing offers from Centerview, Evercore and Blackstone. Chosing an elite boutique should be based on culture. Comp / hours are nearly identical everywhere, as are exit ops.
