Uppers

Moelis is a fast-growing, young firm with significant potential for people looking to build a career in finance.

Downers

Still relatively inflexible in work hours, vacation time and general work/life balance.

Comments

Workload is generally reasonable, their goal is never to burn out bankers, so do a great job of staffing. Compensation is at or near the top, particularly for MBA grads.

If you want to learn a ton, get paid well, and stay in banking (or exit to private equity), this is a great firm to start at. If you prefer a work-life balance company, this is not the place to be.
