Uppers

It is well established and highly regarded; there are tremendous technical resources across the firm

Downers

It's a big firm so there is a certain degree of corporate culture

Advice to Candidates

The firm is definitely competitive when it comes to benefits, etc. Big emphasis on people: diversity, women's issues, community involvement. Due to the size of the firm we have tremendous resources: technical, training, marketing, etc.

Uppers

I enjoy the culture of the firm. I have made some great friends and enjoy coming into work.

Downers

The worst aspect is the demand for hours during busy season.

Advice to Candidates

I would suggest having some hobbies that you can do before or after work that will help you decompress. Also, hobbies are great talking points during interviews, networking events, etc.

The bottom line is it comes down to the people I work with. Makes coming to work and being here enjoyable

Downers

HIgh stress of work demands versus family demands during busy season.

Advice to Candidates

An understanding that if you work hard you will be recognized and it will show through compensation, advancement, and opportunities. Need to understand there is a travel component that isn't easily avoided.

Advice to Candidates

Moss Adams encourages you to take vacation time during the summer and late fall/early winter as they don't want their employees getting burnt out. It's a very family/everyone looks out for each other atmosphere. Moss Adams expects you will put in the work to produce quality work in order to meet deadlines but tries hard to avoid burning people out.

Advice to Candidates

In the few short months I've been working here, Moss Adams has shown that they really care about their new employees: the firm wants to train the new hires so that the new hires can be a better asset to the company, even if it means investing quite a bit of time into training. Tax season is right around the corner so I can expect a heavy workload with a lot of hours, but the paid time off for the rest of the year is generous, and it sounds like efforts will be made during tax season to alleviate the "pain" with dinners, etc.
