the variety of work I do and not having to be at my office computer 40 hours a week year round

Downers

the hard working audit and tax staff carry a much heavy burden then others in the firm not held as accountable

Comments

Great place to get hands on audit or tax experience, not the highest paying jobs, it's great for those in the process of studying for the CPA or needing their experience to get their CPA

If you're not good enough for Big 4 or don't want to work ridiculous hours, come here.

Experienced in Audit & Assurance | Sacramento, CA | 2015 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Great training and a good place to grow, great benefits for families, good PTO policy, diversity of career opportunities.

Downers

Low compensation, no compensation incentives, unclear and generally slow path to partner, unclear firm vision and direction.

Growing, but very slowly

Experienced in Tax | San Francisco, CA | 2015 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

try to be helpful for each other

Downers

There is no flexibility regarding working time and the leadership group is not on the same page.

Comments

workloard - busy during busy season, but not busy after busy season. You can maintain work/life balance if you communicate well with the team. Compensation is depends. Bonus is based on work hours. which is not fair sometimes. Thworke firm is growing, but it is difficult to attract more people. More work less resorce.

Great firm, bad local office, chronically understaffed and unwilling to hire sufficient staffing

2.2 of 5 stars

Experienced in Audit & Assurance | San Diego, CA | 2015 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Working with clients and non-management personnel.

Downers

The tone at the top of the local office is detrimental. Diversity policies are unbalanced. Work-life balance is non-existent.

Comments

Moss Adams as a whole is a great place to work. The San Diego office is not reflective of overall firm culture or San Diego culture however.
