The people. Although we are a larger firm we have the culture of a small firm. As an intern you are able to work directly, and comfortably with the partner. The office is like a small family where you can work with anyone and feel comfortably and feel that you are a part of a great team.

Comments

Public accounting as a profession can be challenging work life balance at times. Once deadlines are over, it is all worth it. Choosing industry as a profession, you will ride the roller coaster of the business and upward advancement and career growth are dependent on the industry growth and opportunity. Whereas, in public accounting you will have opportunity to advance in a variety of industries as you have various clients to represent. Your broader experience will pay off at the end of your career.

Nearly all the benefits of a Big 4 but much more personal and friendly

4.4 of 5 stars

Experienced in Tax | Charlotte, NC | 2016 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

I work with people who genuinely care about me as an individual and work on interesting and challenging projects.

Downers

At times the partners are so busy building their own book of business that no one seems to address the effective functioning of the local practice.

Comments

GT culture is much less of a dog-eat-dog and climb-the-ladder-at-all-costs than what I see at the Big 4. Much more collaborative and helpful so we all succeed together.
