The people

Downers

The amount of hours we have to work in order to not fall behind.

Advice to Candidates

The workload continues to increase each year and the number of hours required to work in order to finish the amount of work you're responsible for increases. I find it difficult to take time off because I feel like I fall behind when I do and it's not worth it. There isn't a chance for early promotion to manager in the tax department.

Palo Alto, CA | 2013 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

The firm has a young average age as they hire straight out of college.

Downers

The firm requires a lot of hours during several months of the year with very little incentives.

Advice to Candidates

The firm focuses on a long career so compensation may not be as high as other similar firms for at least a few years.

Experienced in Tax

Palo Alto, CA | 2013 | VERIFIED EMPLOYEE

Uppers

There are some great people working at this firm. I have some very intelligent, kind and fun colleagues.

Downers

Tough work schedule with long unbearable hours. Top management is out of touch with lower level needs.

Advice to Candidates

Great place to start out if you are thinking of going into public accounting or gaining a few years of experience but not sustainable as a healthy lifestyle unless you are interested in making work your life.
