The firm has an open door policy - The partners, principals, top level management in all departments/divisions are easily approachable and willing to assist.

Promotions to next level from senior to supervisor requires a CPA license, irrespective of the tasks performed by the senior and the years of experience. Exceptions should be made for outstanding performers.

Comments

The Firm has a great outlook for the future. With new management, there is an increase in implement new technology (go paper less), inrease efficiencies, and quality of service provided. There is a good balance between work and personal life and the top management is easily approachable - great open door policy to address all issues. Overall, the Firm is great to work for.

The work/life balance is not what it used to be. Unfortunately it has become more rigid and does not seem to be changing anytime soon.

Public accounting is not for the faint of heart. It takes dedication, discipline, and a working knowledge to thrive in this industry. The best advise would be to speak with collegues in the line of industry to determine if it is the right fit.
