Topic Name: established firm or "e-firm"?
Message Name: Question for recruiter's side

In Reply To: I have been following this line of inquiry and thought, perhaps, now's the time to add my two cents. Perhaps I will appear biased or self-serving. Not intentianal, let me assure you. I am a recruiter, retained by a Big Five, to fill about twenty positions in their tax consulting practice. I would agree with the previous observer: if you are looking to break into the Big Five, it is easiest if you can connect with the headhunter doing the searches. Forget trying to get in by way of the mail, snail or otherwise. It is the headhunter who is - for the most part - the gatekeeper on these opportunites.
Message: Alright, how do you find a listing of headhunters used by the firm?? Call the firm itself?? I would think that they wouldn't be very helpful.
