In Reply To: We have brought this up to our HR personnel. Several of us would like to go part-time just for a few months while we try to stay home part-time with our newborn babies. Do they care? No. All they care about is the bottom line. Maybe in America, we should all get divorced, kill our babies and just work all the fucking time!!!!!!!!!!
Message: Killing the baby to satisfy your employer is a really bad idea; if you do kill the baby and have to miss work to go to prison, not only will you probably lose the job, you may not even receive unemployment compensation. Seriously, if your company has an HR department and has "several" new mothers, it is probably big enough for FMLA to apply. If you all request to go on unpaid leave at the same time (to care for your newborn babies), the company may reconsider refusing to let you work part-time. It is illegal to fire you for requesting FMLA leave and it is may be impossible to find enough temps to replace you all for a few months. If you do decide to kill the baby in order to work non-stop, do it while you are still pregnant. Your employer is much less likely to fire you for getting an abortion than for a murder conviction.
